Inhouse power trading desk

Inhouse power trading desk

Pioneering energy optimisation 24/7

We continued to lead the industry by launching an inhouse 24/7 trading desk and control room in August 2023. This development not only reinforces our commitment to sustainable practices but also positions us to optimize our energy portfolio in the Nord Pool day-ahead and intraday electricity markets and ancillary services markets. By leveraging real-time trading opportunities, we can maximize the integration of clean energy sources, such as wind and solar power, into our portfolio, thereby reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.

By the end of 2023, our production portfolio included eight wind farms and one solar farm, with an annual production estimate of 1.3 TWh.

This significant investment in clean energy underscores our dedication to renewable energy generation and environmental stewardship.

What does intraday trading mean? Intraday trading in the electricity sector refers to buying and selling electricity within the same day to take advantage of market price fluctuations. The goal is to optimize production and consumption, balance supply and demand, and improve cost efficiency.
