I bought/inherited part of a property subject to a land lease agreement with Ilmatar. Do I have to do anything?

The first thing you should do is update the registration of title. Ilmatar will not be informed of the change in ownership except through a notification from the new owner, so please remember to inform us about the change.

Please also provide us with the property identification number, the names of the new owner(s), addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and the bank account number where the rent should be paid. You can send this information to us via email,

If the property ownership changes in the middle of the year, the annual rent can be divided between the new and previous owners. In that case, we also need to know when the ownership change occurred and how you would like the rent to be divided. However, we do not make retroactive changes to rents that have already been paid.

If the transaction concerns only a part of the leased area, we would appreciate it if you could provide us with a map of the transaction area as an attachment to the sale agreement. Based on this, we will divide the existing lease area into two agreements while maintaining the same terms and conditions.
