Ilmatar is preparing a solar power park near the Hikiä town center in Hausjärvi, Kanta-Häme. The project area is located to the south and west of the Hikiä substation. The project site consists almost entirely of farmland, which is ideal for solar power production due to its flat terrain and good constructability. The electricity generated by the solar power park will be transferred to the electricity grid through the nearby Hikiä substation.

Current Situation
The permitting process for the project has been completed, and the project has legally valid building permits. This is thanks to the strong support from both the Hausjärvi municipality and the landowners. Currently, the project is in the process of obtaining additional permits and undergoing more detailed technical planning. The construction of the solar power plant is estimated to take place in 2026-2027, with electricity production expected to begin as early as 2027.
