The area is used for conventional forestry. The ground is slightly hilly and mainly made up of rocky moraine. To establish the solar park, Ilmatar has signed a land lease agreement with the property owners.

The planned operation involves the construction, operation, and eventual decommissioning of the solar energy facility. Ilmatar has conducted natural value investigations, as well as other surveys of the area, and the public hearing process with nearby residents and other stakeholders has ended. The findings from the surveys of the area, as well as the input and ohter notifications from stakeholders have been considered in the planning of the project. The application for environmental permit will be submitted to the County Board in the beginning of 2025. There are low natural values in the area, and low levels of conflicts with other interests.
