The Konikallio wind power project includes up to 15 wind turbines. The area is strongly aligned with the wind power zone designated in the regional plan of Pirkanmaa (Konikallio-Kivinevankalliot).
The Konikallio EIA procedure was completed in 2024, and a reasoned conclusion from the coordinating authority has been received, based on which additional studies have been conducted. The zoning proposals (separate for Ikaalinen and Hämeenkyrö) are planned to be made available for public viewing in the spring of 2025, with the goal of having them approved by the municipal councils before the summer of 2025.
