Ilmatar is exploring the potential for a wind power project in the Miekkasuo area, Haapavesi, Ostrobothnia. Preliminary plans suggest that up to seven wind turbines with 52,5 MW nominal capacity could be installed in the area.

Ilmatar donated to Finland’s 108th anniversary by supporting peatland protection in Northern Ostrobothnia
Ilmatar is one of the financiers in a joint nature gift initiative by renewable energy companies. The participating companies donated the protection and restoration of one hectare of peatland and forest areas for each year of Finland’s independence.
