The Kultakallio planning area is located near the northern border of Merikarvia, east of Highway 8, about 17 km northeast of the Merikarvia church village.
The plan includes up to 8 turbines, each with a maximum tip height of 350 meters. The final number of turbines, their placement, and the planning area will be refined in the coming years during the investigation and planning process. The final design will be influenced by the planning and environmental impact assessment (EIA) studies, statements, opinions, and stakeholder discussions.
The Pyynevankangas EIA program and participation and assessment scheme were available for public viewing in the spring of 2024. The active development of the project is currently on hold, with the aim of resuming the EIA procedure and planning process in 2025.
