Ilmatar is currently preparing a wind farm in the municipality of Ii in northern Ostrobothnia. The Ollinkorvi planning area is located in the north-eastern part of northern Ii.
The combined environmental impact assessment (EIA) and wind power sub-planning has started in 2019 and the sub-planning has been approved on 31 October 2022. Building permits have been approved on 24 April 2023. We are currently preparing for the construction phase, which is expected to start in 2025 at the earliest.

Ilmatar sparks attention at the Swedish parliament
“Grid connections are the most important factor for us to secure right now as a developer of renewable energy production. If we are referred to the regional electricity grids in Sweden, our projects will have to be scaled back. As a country, we cannot afford to do that when we know that all forms of renewable energy are needed,” says Ilmatar’s Robert Wedmo, who held a lunch seminar in the Swedish Parliament in mid-November.
