Ilmatar Ii Oy is developing a 10-turbine wind farm in the municipality of Ii in Northern Ostrobothnia.
Ollinkorpi
Ii – Finland
The combined nominal power of the wind turbines is approximately 72 MW. In addition, an energy storage is planned to be built in connection with the Ollinkorpi substation. The energy storage system will help to balance the electricity production. Produced electricity will be transmitted via a 110 kV transmission line from the project area to Fingrid’s new Herva substation.
The partial master plan for the Ollinkorpi wind farm and the building permits for the wind turbines have gained legal force in spring 2024. We are currently preparing for the construction phase, which is expected to start in late 2025 at the earliest. Therefore, electricity production in the area could start in 2027.
“We are particularly grateful to the landowners and the municipality for the smooth cooperation – their openness and positive attitude have played a key role in the progress of the project”
–Project Development Manager Elviira Ritari
