The planned solar farm in the Uusiniitty area of Pöytyä will be built on an area of 49 hectares and will produce electricity with a nominal capacity of 43 MWp.
The permitting process for the project has been completed and the project has valid building permits. The construction of the solar power plant is expected to take place between 2024 and 2025.

Solkatterna keeps Karlstad thriving
We aim to be an active part of the local society in the areas where we operate, fostering a sense of belonging and engagement. One of the organizations we sponsor is Solkatterna Speedway, in Karlstad in southern Sweden, close to our two projects in Värmland, Lång and Grums. Ilmatar sparks attention at the Swedish parliament
“Grid connections are the most important factor for us to secure right now as a developer of renewable energy production. If we are referred to the regional electricity grids in Sweden, our projects will have to be scaled back. As a country, we cannot afford to do that when we know that all forms of renewable energy are needed,” says Ilmatar’s Robert Wedmo, who held a lunch seminar in the Swedish Parliament in mid-November.
