Ilmatar Solar Uusiniitty Oy is developing a 43.27 MWp solar park in the municipality of Pöytyä in Southwest Finland.

Pöytyä – Finland
The project area is almost entirely arable land, which is excellently suited for solar power use due to its evenness and good buildability. A new substation by Caruna Oy will be built next to the project area, through which the electricity produced by the solar park will be connected to the electricity grid. Due to the proximity of the substation, the project does not require new long electricity transmission lines.
The project’s permitting process has been completed, and the project has legally binding building permits. As the construction of the solar power plant is estimated to be scheduled for 2025-2026, electricity production could start in 2026 at the earliest.
“It has been great to see how enthusiastic the municipality and landowners have been about the development of solar power. Their active interest and positive attitude have enabled smooth cooperation and created excellent conditions for the implementation of the project”
