The planning area for Pyynevankangas is located at the northern border of Merikarvia, west of Highway 8, about 15 km north of the Merikarvia town center. The Pyynevankangas wind farm will consist of up to eight turbines, each with a maximum sweep height of 350 meters.

Ilmatar is one of the financiers in a joint nature gift initiative by renewable energy companies. The participating companies donated the protection and restoration of one hectare of peatland and forest areas for each year of Finland’s independence.
