Land lease negotiations were held with interested landowners in 2022-2023, after which discussions were initiated with the city of Kouvola and other authorities regarding the implementation of the projects. The Koria Takamaa project consists of five separate areas (A-E), with the planned solar power production area totaling approximately 159.42 ha. The planned total capacity of the solar power plants is approximately 156 MWp, with an average electricity production of about 158 GWh per year. The project area is intended to be connected to the power grid by installing an underground cable from the project area to the Koria substation or a separate switchgear to be built near it.

Current News

The applications of Ilmatar Solar Development Oy for the planning permit decisions for the Koria (Takamaa) solar power project were discussed by the Kouvola City Technical Board’s Permit Subcommittee on March 4, 2025. In the meeting, the Permit Subcommittee rejected all planning permit applications for the project areas. Ilmatar Solar Development Oy has the opportunity to appeal the decision to the Administrative Court of Eastern Finland within 30 days from the date of the decision, excluding the deadline.
