The energy storage can balance the production variation typical for renewable energy while also allowing production to be moved in time to better fit the demand of power and energy. Additionally, the system will be able to balance frequency variations in the grid, enhancing grid stability and improving the utilization of grid infrastructure, while also increasing the reliability of power supply.
