Ilmatar is planning to build a solar park in Ähtäri, Southern Ostrobothnia. The Murtolampi solar park area is located approximately 7 kilometres east of Ähtäri town centre, in the Murtolampi area.

The solar park is planned to cover an area of approximately 60 hectares and is expected to have a nominal capacity of around 44 MWp. The electricity will be transmitted to the grid via underground cables and connected through Sähkö-Virkeät Oy’s substation in Ähtäri.
The permitting process for the project has been completed, and the project has received legally valid building permits. The project is currently being prepared for construction, which could begin in 2026 at the earliest. Production is expected to start in 2029.

Ilmatar and the UB Renewable Energy Fund, part of the Finnish asset management group United Bankers, have agreed on the sale of the Korpilevonmäki wind farm located in Säkylä, Southwest Finland. The UB Renewable Energy Fund will initially acquire a 40% stake, followed by the acquisition of the remaining 60% stake upon the fulfillment of certain conditions.
